Blue Ridge Solutions was founded to support one of the nuclear industry's greatest strengths: its people.
Today, our primary focus is providing highly experienced professionals to support nuclear utilities through staff augmentation. Whether organizations need experienced training personnel, instructional designers, Vision expertise, or project support, we provide professionals who understand the industry's standards, expectations, and culture from firsthand experience.
We know that nuclear organizations don't have time to train someone on the basics of the industry. They need people who can step in, contribute immediately, and deliver quality work from day one. That's exactly what we provide.
But Blue Ridge Solutions was built with a larger vision in mind.
After decades working in nuclear operations and training, we recognized an opportunity to improve the way the industry manages knowledge and develops its workforce. While our consulting and staff augmentation services remain the foundation of our business today, we're actively developing the next generation of tools to support nuclear training, knowledge management, and online learning.
Our goal is simple: combine decades of real-world industry experience with modern technology to help organizations prepare the next generation of nuclear professionals.
Meet Charles Ware
Blue Ridge Solutions was founded by Charles Ware, a nuclear training professional with more than 35 years of experience in the commercial nuclear industry.
His career began as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate in the U.S. Navy before transitioning into commercial nuclear power, where he built a career in operations, training, and workforce development.
Charles has:
Served as a Nuclear Operator in the commercial nuclear industry.
Earned Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) and Simulator Instructor certifications.
Developed and delivered Initial Licensed Operator training.
Developed and delivered Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training.
Developed and delivered Continuing Training.
More than 35 years of experience in nuclear operations, training, and workforce development.
In 2005, he began working with Vision when Version 7 was introduced. Over the past two decades, he's worked extensively within the platform; building training programs, configuring databases, supporting implementations, troubleshooting issues, and helping training departments get the most from the software.
That experience has made him a trusted resource within the industry. When organizations encounter challenges with Vision or need someone who truly understands nuclear training systems, he's often the person they call.
More importantly, spending decades inside training departments has given him a unique perspective on what works, what doesn't, and where the industry is headed. He has seen firsthand the challenges of preserving institutional knowledge, onboarding new employees, maintaining qualification programs, and managing training across multiple disconnected systems.
Those experiences are what inspired Blue Ridge Solutions. Our long-term vision is to build technology that reflects the realities of modern nuclear training; software designed by professionals who have spent their careers working in the industry, not simply developing products for it.
Meet Jessica Ware
Jessica is the Co-Founder of Blue Ridge Solutions, where she helps shape the company's creative direction and long-term vision for learning, educational technology, and user experience.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her education provides a strong foundation in adult learning, communication, human behavior, and learner engagement; principles that influence the design of Blue Ridge Solutions' educational technology and online learning initiatives.
Jessica believes that effective learning goes beyond simply delivering information. She is passionate about creating educational experiences that are engaging, intuitive, and accessible, helping learners build confidence while navigating complex technical content. Her people-centered approach helps ensure that every solution is designed with the end user in mind, making learning more meaningful and knowledge easier to access.
As Blue Ridge Solutions looks toward the future, Jessica is focused on helping develop innovative learning technologies that support workforce development across the nuclear industry. By combining thoughtful educational design with a commitment to accessibility and user experience, she hopes to help organizations better preserve institutional knowledge and prepare the next generation of nuclear professionals.
